Tatiana Maslany is getting Unscrewed! Come for a tease about the fifth season of Orphan Black, stay for a vulnerable and revealing conversation about internalized femmephobia, clones in pussy hats, on-set sexism, rape plotlines, bell hooks, following your fear, and the liberatory power of a queer 90s dance party.
Returning CBB champs Tatiana Maslany and Kristian Bruun of Orphan Black join Scott to chat about the times they broke their foot, the process of crying on camera, and exclusive monologues that will appear on their show. Then, Janice Cramps stops by to tell us all about her new pregnancy. Finally, children’s entertainer Big Chunky Bubbles makes his way into the studio for the first time to tell us about how he’s trying to branch out of entertaining children.
This episode is sponsored by HBO’s High Maintenance, Jack Threads, Leesa, and Legal Zoom.
It’s the first show from SDCC 2016 at the Balboa Theater! First Tatiana Maslany talks to Chris, Matt and Jonah about being on Orphan Black and what shows she likes, and she takes some questions from the audience. Then Danny McBride, Walton Goggins and Jody Hill chat with the guys about their new show Vice Principals and having southern accents, and they take some questions from the audience as well!
Tatiana Maslany. Yoni and accomplished actor, Tatiana (Orphan Black, etc.), get together at Yoni’s AirB&B in Harlem for a getting-to-know-you chat. They talk about Tatiana’s small town Canadian roots and beginnings in dancing and acting, nerves, improv, rap music, sneakers, and Kanye.
Who doesn’t like magical houses and demons that turn into metal keys? Well, I’m sure not a lot of you do…and come to think of it I don’t know how much I would like that, either. I love horror and comics, though, which is why I’m so excited for Audible’s adaptation of Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s graphic novel Locke & Key.
Locke & Key takes place in Lovecraft, Massachusetts where a group of kids find a portal to other dimensions filled with demons intent on possessing them.
The story is a perfect fit for the upcoming Halloween season, which is one of the many reasons why I’m so excited that Audible’s adaptation of the comic is available to download for free from now until November 4th.
Locke & Key is voiced by a great cast that includes Haley Joel Osment, Tatiana Maslany, Kate Mulgrew, Joe Hill, Gabriel Rodriguez, and Stephen King. Will you be checking it out?

Finally, the He-Man movie starring Dolph Lundgren on Earth with a bunch of teens. Orphan Black’s Tatiana Maslany joins Paul, June, and Jason to discuss the 1987 film Masters of the Universe. They’ll cover He-Man not being spectacular at anything, the big battle being mostly shot in the dark, Courteney Cox’s emotional journey, and everyone’s favorite character Karg. Plus, June explains how the movie made her realize she is afraid of mirages.
Tatiana and Kristian (Donnie on Orphan Black) did an interview today.
